Images will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 3:00 pm in the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Hall, in the North Hills. “This year we wanted to create a concert experience that was truly memorable,” said Carl Iezzi, conductor for The North Suburban Symphonic Band. “Whether the musical selection is seasonal, classical, from Broadway, history or other cultures, our performances should evoke distinct visual images for our audience members.” The NSSB will include in their program:
· Symphony No. 5 (Finale) by Shostakovich
· Pictures at an Exhibition by Moussorgsky
· Cumberland Gap by Joseph Wilcox Jenkins · Fanfare and Allegro by Clifton Williams · Finale from Symphony in F Minor No. 4 by Tchaikovsky
Of special note, is Fanfare and Allegro by Clifton Williams, featuring our assistant conductor, Sean Desguin.
Regular admission prices are $8 and children under 10 are admitted for free. We participate in the WQED MemberCard program and discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
